The Quiet Surface

The gallery's inaugural exhibition, The Quiet Surface introduced the programme through work by Henning Sørgaard, Marthe Vandal, Beatrice Aerni and Clara Benedek. It set out the concerns the gallery has held to since.
Across painting, drawing, photography and bronze, the exhibition proposed restraint as a shared position. Founded by Andrea Brunner and Lars Sand, the gallery opened on a note of quiet it has continued to keep.
